---------------------------
Madre por qué, por qué
No te preocupes por eso, por eso
Yo te dejaré mi vestido
Para bailar
Y bailar

This is a traditional icelandic song, which have a story behind.

The story behind this song is that there was a woman who had a child but didn't want to keep it so she... "bar það út" which basically mean she left it somewhere outside to die. She had wrapped the baby in a cloth of some sort. Later the mother was going to a ball and didn't know what to wear, and then she hear the voice of the baby sing that song,

Móðir mín í kví, kví,
Kvíddu ekki því, því,
Ég skal ljá þér duluna mína
Að dansa í
Og dansa í
---------------------------
"My mother, why, why
Don't worry about that, that
I will borrow you my cloth
To dance in, and dance in."
